Eduardo Casal is an experienced commercial litigator with more than ten years’ experience.  Mr. Casal’s practice is focused on commercial litigation.  His broad range of experience includes cases involving fraud, breach of contract, trade secrets, intellectual property litigation, shareholder derivative disputes, tortious interference, construction litigation, insurance disputes, commercial evictions, and administrative proceedings.

Accomplishments

  • Defended individual against a foreign entity and its related subsidiary in multi-million-dollar suit, resulting in judgment of no liability and entitlement to fees.
  • Appellate reversal of trial court order denying motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction in alleged debt collection action.
  • Settlement between Florida corporation and national bank arising from the utilization of bank’s services by corporation’s minority shareholder during corporate in-fighting.
  • Represented financial institutions, including Valley National Bank, Regions Bank, Ocean Bank, and Florida Community Bank, in trial, appellate, and bankruptcy proceedings relating to enforcement of their debt instruments.
  • Bench memoranda as Florida appellate law clerk influenced published opinions affecting Florida caselaw.
